Antarctica

Antarctica 01-02-1991—12-03-1991

By chance and luck I have been able to make a trip to Antarctica with the MN (Motor Naval) Pomaire, a Chilean “freighter ” with three captains on board and further 138 barrels of kerosene and 1200 liters of wine but no spare parts. During this trip I took about 3000 photos.

The ship ran on a reef on February 24, 1991, in the middle of nowhere and we were "saved" by the Chilean Navy. Two years later, the Pomaire hit a reef again and then sank off the coast of Valparaiso in Chile.
