Roelof van der Schaaf (1952 Amsterdam) is a photographer, lighting designer, graphic designer and videographer.

Education:

2004/2005 Didactic Course in art education HBO (KuO).

1989 TV Direction course Media Academie Hilversum 

1982 -1983 Camera A + B training Media Academie Hilversum (formerly Santbergen).

1980 Medway College of Design, Rochester, United Kingdom (study photography and film).

Roelof:

Since the seventies, eighties, nineties, zero, ten and so far, I have been photographing architecture, landscapes, deserts, polar and salt plains and I have made long journeys to Antarctica, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Indonesia, most of Europe and Texel.

I have also photographed in many European countries.

I also worked in the television industries worldwide as a lighting director/designer for 40 years.

Hjuvi, A Rapsody in Time is an award-winning television broadcast around the composition of Robert-Jan Stips of the NITS. Together with the Radio Symphony Orchestra, this recording was made with 9 cameras in the Royal Concertgebouw.

The program was an interplay between pop and symphonic music. The recording was striking because of the combination of music, light and color. The program is
