Special Productions
1000 Drummers on the Maas
A large-scale music project created by Golden Earring drummer Cesar Zuiderwijk and performed on the River Maas in Rotterdam. The event was recorded with seventeen cameras for Veronica Television.
Danny Kaye International Children’s Award
An international entertainment programme commissioned by UNICEF and broadcast in 26 countries, including the United States. It was produced by Smith/Hemion of Los Angeles and presented by Roger Moore and Audrey Hepburn.
Kruimeltje
Television recording of the musical produced by Rotterdam’s Hofplein Theatre, based on the book of the same name by Chris van Abkoude. Produced for Veronica Television.
Hjuvi: A Rhapsody in Time
An award-winning television production centred on a composition by Robert Jan Stips of NITS, performed with the Radio Symphony Orchestra and recorded with nine cameras at the Royal Concertgebouw.
The production was notable for its distinctive integration of pop music, symphonic music, lighting and colour. The programme was broadcast five times.
Royal Golden Jubilee Loyal Address
A special live broadcast marking the 50th anniversary of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. Recorded on 30 April 2002 at the Palace of Westminster, the House of Lords and the House of Commons for the BBC in London.
